Masters Programmes

Apart from the PhD students, there is also a need to retrain or grow the talent pool in this area. This will be done through a specialization in Additive Manufacturing (or 3D Printing) embedded in two of the existing MSc programs, namely :
You may visit the MAE MSc Programme portal to find out more.
In addition to the MSc degree, a certificate would be given to the students. This certificate requires the students to do an industry based project in addition to the three courses
Possible Industrial Projects
A student has to undertake a project for the MSc specialization. Industry sponsored projects will be preferred with a supervisor from industry and one from NTU. Possible project topics:
  •        Development of Biocompatible Photoresins for Liquid-based Additive Manufacturing Processes
  •        Additive Manufacturing of Refractory Materials, such as Tungsten and its Alloy
  •        Additive Manufacturing of Light Weight Components for use in Aerospace Applications
  •        Additive Manufacturing of Hearing Devices
  •        Additive Manufacturing of On-Demand components for Offshore and Marine Applications
